Labor Day 2025 to Bring Scattered Rains and Heat, Says PAGASA

Filipinos celebrating Labor Day 2025 are advised to prepare for a mix of scattered rains and humid weather, as the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and Easterlies continue to influence the country's weather, according to a special outlook released by PAGASA.

The weather bureau reported that Mindanao and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies brought by the Easterlies, along with chances of localized rainshowers or thunderstorms that may trigger brief but intense downpours.

The Low Pressure Area east of Southern Mindanao is expected to dissipate within 24 hours, minimizing the threat of further weather disturbances.

However, the warm and humid conditions will persist, particularly in areas affected by the Easterlies. PAGASA strongly advises the public to limit outdoor physical activities from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., stay hydrated, take breaks in shaded areas, and wear light-colored clothing to prevent heat-related illnesses.
